Atari Teenage Riot support the Anonymous Solidarity Network

Alec Empire diverts Sony cash to hacker support charity,Atari Teenage Riot frontman Alec Empire has today revealed that he has given away the fee he received for the use of ATR's song ‘Black Flags’ in a Sony advertisement for the company's new PSVita handheld games console.Published artrocker.tv today

Empire has donated the money to Freeanons, part of the Anonymous Solidarity Network, which provides support for those facing prosecution for alleged activities as part of the Anonymous group of hackers.

Empire has been a vocal supporter of Anonymous for some time now.

The video for ‘Black Flags’ featured multiple edits which included footage submitted by members of anonymous of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
