Wednesday Kingston released the DataTraveler 5000. This USB flash drive meant for government and enterprise customers is secured by SPYRUS technology and gives it 256-bit AES hardware-based encryption, FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certification, XTS-AES cipher mode and elliptic curve cryptography.
FIPS 140-2 meets standards set out by the (National Institute of Standards and Technology) NIST in America.
The Kingston is designed for Windows XP, Vista and 7 operating systems.
Kingston 5000 is available in 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB of storage capacities, the Kingston DataTraveler 5000 retail for $111, $185, $231 and $400, respectively.
